Restricting access to files?

i ran across a site that was using one of my .php files on their site. is there a way i could limit access to that file so it can only be used on my site?

How is it that you own the file when php is "open source"??

Define "using".

Did they get the source code and their server is executing it, or, is their server requesting it from your server and displaying the results on their site ?

One situation only has legal options, the other has technical options.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.
