Post 3+ Months Ago

was able to get this far:
I built a site using a swf file controlling an iframe in my main page.

BUT-
My text is in Hebrew and therefore all the pages "start" from right to left..but the horizontal scrollbar opens automaticly from the left..which gives the user an annoying view of an half empty page. :( :roll:
As you can see here-
[url]http://www.geocities.com/mimeli123/trial1.html
[/url]
-the page opens to the "homepage" inside the iframe, which has NO horizontal scrollbar. But as soon as you click on the buttons on the right side of the page(the light yellow or green ones on dark green background), the scrollbar appears.( NOT all of the pages are uploaded to the web..i put it there only temporary with some webpages -just so one can see my problem)

Can anyone help me to find a way how to fix this?

Thanks a million in advance!!

I have put your site through the W3C Validator and you have 50 errors - sort those out first.

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... ne&group=0

Just click the link.

Suzie-
Thanks for your effort!!
Funny enough, most of the errors found in the script are
either in the autogenerated code from flash..or do not appear when I run the test on the same file on my PC..
Weird..??

And still after those..I'm stuck w/ the same problem...

Try this code:

Code: [ Select ]
<div style="width:640px; height:160px; overflow:auto;" align=left>
content goes here.
</div>
  1. <div style="width:640px; height:160px; overflow:auto;" align=left>
  2. content goes here.
  3. </div>

Use your own sizing of course for the iframe.

Maybe, maybe not work for you.

Have a look at W3C school for CSS.

Thanks!
I'v found the problem..thanks to you!!
i reopend the page in Dreamweaver and run a Validator check there.
Since I'm mostly redesigning this site, I copied most of the text from the old site..with some obskure coding in it!
After I deleted those, I was able to reset the table width of the content and VOILA! there is no scrollbar anymore!

So-
thanks again!! :handsup: :lol: :thumbsup:
