Yeah, i'd say it was a good start too...

Some people only may want a little php site or CSS, XML etc..

Which is a great oppurtunity for you.

If you had a website to show for it, you could post in the Website Reviews forum.

I meant a website about this business...but I think you'll have to do more work on cowkiller.com before you try anything else.

Great idea cowkiller :) A good and easy way to get customers is by ringing them from your local paper, those who have a decent enough size advert but no website - if they sell something that could use a website - call them and ask :D

Good luck with everything!

Or you can advertise in the local paper, it usually doesn't cost too much, but in the ad just say you will make simple but informative websites, for very cheap, give contact information (phone/e-mail) and a url to a portfolio.
There are probalby some small businesses in your community who just want a profesional looking web page with just some basic stuff on it, nothing to advanced.

'So you want a website of you're own', it says on your site.

Erm... there is no apostrophe in 'your', kind of important to get such things right if you want to impress potential clients. They expect proof-reading to be done and, if you don't do it on your own site, it won't instil confidence. This may seem a minor point but it would certainly influence me if I was looking for web work done.
