Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to stop people going into my directory. For example if i link to a picture some where say -

http://www.wedding-designs.co.uk/html/p ... /photo.jpg

Some one could go to http://www.wedding-designs.co.uk/html/personal and would be able to see a directory of what is in that folder.

Some people stop this and i would like to know how. In my C/panel it says that i can password protect directorys but i dont think that this is what i want to do.

Hope someone is able to help me.

Cheers

Tony

Greetings,

A simple fix is to make a blank index.htm page. Copy the following and save it as, "index.htm" Then put this blank file in any folder that you do not want anybody to see the directory. There are others ways to solve your problem, but this one is the simplest.

<html>
<head>
<title></title>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>
