I'm looking for a piece of server software that will serve multiple file types (wma, ram, aiff, ogg). Would Apache do the trick. I know there is Shoutcast, Darwin, and Real's server, but they're mostly limited to their own software players and file types. I realize that shoutcast can stream mp3's and whatnot, but you have to have a shoutcast-enabled player and I would prefer that the visitors would not have to download one. I wouldn't. Is there a multi platform, multi filetype, streaming audio server? A free solution? Thanks.
