Hello, how would I code my index page on my site to not be affected by text size. When you look at my homepage with medium text it looks fine. When you switch the text size to large or largest it distorts most of the page. Anyone know how to code the page where the text will stay at medium in anyones browser? Please help :)

it's not a good thing to do, but you can specify an absolute size in either pixcels (px) or points (pt) using css. However this will only affect MSIE and other browsers can still resize your text as much as they want.

code is:
font-size:12px;

The better solution is to design your layout so that the text zoom just stretches the page vertically.

wtf??

expand vertically, as in downwards. Width stays the same but if someone needs to get the words bigger because they cannot see too well, the whole page gracefully expands down, without messing up the layout. I personally think it's one of those features that every website should have, especially seeing as you can't prevent people from using text zoom.

i always get confused with horizontal and verticle lol. A good way to remember is when you think of horizontal think of the horizon lol :D

The funny thing is, when you start to make associations like that they become habit. I'm mildly dyslexic and when I was little I was crap at longer words, or strangly-spelled words. I now cannot write the word "because" without thinking "beeka-use" in my head. :lol:

when you cant spell well they teach you to think of a word as i would be pronounced phonetically. I could never work out which way round the c and the a went:

beacuse

It was one that I had a lot of trouble with so the phrase "beeka-use" was drummed into me and now it sticks
