VML / HTML+Time, IE Only ?

Are theese things supported/(going to be) by anything other than IE ?
I've tried samples from both of them in NS7 with no success, IE6 renders as expected, here's what i've been reading on them so far.

http://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-VML

I'm hoping to see theese(especially VML) supported by somthing other than IE, i like the ability to create rounded corners with very little code.
