webkit does not like first-letters

I have the first-letter css class on my site and it works the only thing I have found is, is that in webkit browsers the letter with the first-letter style will not copy if I copy and paste my site into word from firefox or IE the first-letter letters copy but if I do it in chrome or safari it copy all but the first-letters letters,
I know its not a big problem but its a bug wanted to know if there are any hacks thought it may be an issue for screen readers as well.
