Post 3+ Months Ago

After neglecting my site for so long, I'm again, inspired to great lengths to work at it and now that I came back to it, I have a bit more questions about it.

I have the mod-rewrite for the links that shows something like "www.wedevoy.com/forum/my-vision-for-wedevoy-t10.html" but when you create a message and submit it, you get two options "Visit the Post" and "return to forum last visited" and if you try to "Visit your Post" the link would lead you to "www.wedevoy.com/forum/forum13.html#p13", but the thing can't find that post so I get an error.

Is there anyway to fix that? I can't think of anything right now :(

It's getting there :D

I got another similar problem. Same thing happens when I try to view a profile... it shows like http://www.wedevoy.com/forum/member2.html and I get an error page instead of the profile :(

Hi Bogey, honestly speaking I will not 'enter' so much into the modifications of the default scripts. I might just well be using the default layout. My issue is it is up, but I am changing / thinking about modifying the whole contents, that is all -- which can be a bit challenging too especially when you are targeting your audience.

:)

Good Luck.

I understand what your saying George L., but if I keep the defaults, it doesn't feel like it's mine

It's also better SEO wise (I think?) and it makes me feel better

But I have no idea how to fix those things... maybe I'll just have to drop back but... bigwebmaster seems to have gotten his to work perfectly

It is like you are trying to create static pages? little bit like hacks`1. I can see that would be a bit hard. :)

Is there a line to set the view your post to the proper link?
Does it mark your post as what the link tells it to scroll to?
Does it come up with the same link every time aka 'www.wedevoy.com/forum/forum13.html#p13'?
Is there a default set to tell it how to display a profile.
Does it alway try to go to 'http://www.wedevoy.com/forum/member2.html'?

EDIT:Did you make the site from scratch?

Oh... that problem is fixed :D I forgot to update this thread.

I used a different .htaccess and that fixed those display errors and gave me about 3 more :x

Now, the CSS won't load to my forum and topics, and the script searchs for the folder adm/ in the virtual folder that doesn't exist.

When you view a topic, the forum it resides in is shown as a folder in the url, and that's where it searchs for adm/ folder... :(
