Hello,

I am relatively new at editing and adding video to a website. I would like to be able to change the .vob file to WMV and edit in Window's Moviemaker. Once completed, I would like to convert to WMV, REAL and MPEG-4. Is there one program that can do all this converting? Perhaps you have a better idea for me? My source for original video is DVD.

Check out http://www.videohelp.com and check out their guides section on how to convert different video formats.

You'll have to use a ripper to pull the video off the DVD as they are usually DRM protected. Once you have the file into Mpeg, you can then use a veriety of programs to change the format. I use Sorenson Squeeze for my video convertion as it support batch convertions. (convert dozens of files at a time.) There are many others, have a look on download.com for the video editor available.

Just try using AppGeeker DVD Ripper to extract out vob files of DVD disc. It works 99% of the time just fine.

If you run into problems, think about another solution. I have DVDShrink as well, but use it rarely, it will just strip the copy protection out, then use Handbrake to transcode the file into WMV file container.
