Hi there,

One simple question: Where do you usually get your fonts from? I am searching a special one (trajan).
Maybe anyone could help!?

Cheers,
Maurice

Oh what a great idea!

sorry but to search via google was my first idea, too. the problem is that i would like to get the font for free. and those sites all pretend to be free but all of them ask you to give your credit card number before they let you download the font. ;)

Does anyone know a proper Free Font provider? I would be grateful for any hint.
Cheers,
Maurice

@The Shrew:

The page is indeed a good one. Thousand of fonds for free downloading. Unfortunately they do not have the "Trajan" - fond, which is the one I am searching for. :(
I think there is no way to get this f****** fond.
Anyways, thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards,
Maurice

There is a way, it comes to your house after working for a week, yes thats right, money.

*snickers* Not everyting is free, and the font just happens to be one that Agfa isn't letting out even as try before you buy.

very true b_heyer. I buy a lot of my fonts for a few reasons.

1. I get what I want.
2. I'm legally licensed to use it.
3. Not many others will be using the same font as me.

Here's a decent free one I have used in the past: http://www.1001freefonts.com

Ok you're right. both of you. But 22$ (fonts.com) for a font is quite a lot of money....

Aeropostal bought a font a recognized and printed their name (what else?) on the sleeve, the probably made several thousand dollars from a 22 dollar font.

$22 is cheap. I've paid $40-50 per font at times, if it gave me the look I
needed. Granted, I had the luxury of a nice contract from a client to pay
for it. SO, I can see how you would want it for free to start out. Your
best bet is just to surf around and try to find one similar.

1001freefonts and fontfreak seem to be advertising partners. You get ads from each at each website.

just watch out for sites like free-font-download.com

they have a virus that automatically downloads to your computer from a pop up add.

you have been warned! :D
