This is a Digg style site that allows members to post the 'worst sites on the net' where members can vote on the site. Still have a couple things I need to clean up (it looks better on IE then firefox for whatever reason), but I'd like to get peoples ideas on the layout and concept and any suggestions people have.

Here's the link: http://www.arid.net

I don't know what to say. Some of those are absolutely terrible. It makes me want to stop surfing. But as for your site, it needs work too. Maybe some imagery in the banner. And IMO the entire left side is very...uninteresting. Be careful before you end up on the list. :) LOL

Haha, thanks. Yeah, apparently digg clones scripts aren't that great, the best I could find was Pligg which, honestly, isn't very good. I suspect I'll have to break down and get someone to do a professional design.

I have one huge suggestion, why dont you make it so that the links to the other sites open up in a new window or tab. I kept accidentally xing out of the bad site after I was done and I couldnt get back to yours with out this forum post. Most people wont bother with trying to find the link and would just move right on.

Thanks, you're right, I didn't realize it did that. I'll get that fixed.
