I like it too!

But I advise you to change that top/left menu (About Us/Terms & Conditions/Help) color to red or orange, that green is not working on so light colored background!

That's because there are no new auctions to list. The program lists them automaticly.

The design of this website is great, i love the colours and the feel of the whole place, with a bit more content it could be fantastic. :)

Well i really really like this site's design. I think it works really well.

To be very very picky on the visual side, on mouse over (home/my account sell etc) i would change this colour. Maybe use one of the same colour as your hobbies/arts/crafts colours in your header/banner.

In your center logo the light green ring burns my eyes a bit but it does draw my attention to the center of the screen. From there i can see your graphic of the guy auctioning a piece of art so immediately i have an idea what your site is about. I like this graphic/logo i think the light green can still catch your eye and be toned down a little.(maybe the same green as the home/my account sell)

On the design side i cant see much wrong to be honest. I like it.

On the code side you should declare a doctype, i ran a validation on the site and got 162 errors. This is mainly due to the fact that the validator assumed it was html 4.01 transistional complaint and it appears its not.

Also you need to add a few more meta keywords and descriptions to it.

Minor points but worth clearing up.

Very nice site though, good luck!

:( I lowered my prices to FREE but Im still not getting anyone to list anything. Can someone offer me some advice on how to get people to list there items without them running to e-bay? My website auction is what I call a Market Nitch one so anyone who's visiting it is interested in only hobbies arts and craft type of listings. There not showing up to buy a car or a pair of shoes.

+I love the colors the green is sweet. I also love the shapes.
-What resolutions is this page intended for?
-Your featured auctions might want to be on the side or to the top.
-Im a big fan of not having to scroll and I have larger than average resolutions setting. I prolly wouldnt scroll down to see your "featured" stuff unless you some how got my attention above.
-Browse autions should also be in the top half of the webpage.

with the menu on the left, maybe a rollover affect to help clarify which option you're about to click on.

Agree with meegwell.. a hover on the menu would improve the design..

Anywho, allthough i love the colours I think the site looks a little bit old fashioned :P, like 1990.. especially because of the main menu..

Keep up the good work, and please excuse my english :).

Hi,
Lovely looking site, and deffinatly a great idea,
problem is no one will want to be the first and only person to advertise some thing on it. thats unfortunately the way things work and the way people in general are. so only way to encourage people is you are going to have to get all your family and friends to put one item on each to start it off. then hopefully others will follow.
Lovely site 10/10

Pretty nice. The only thing comment that I have is that you may want to reduce the amount of text that you have in the middle of the site ("Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. We have put a great amount of effort into ensuring that our Buyers ..."). That text seems a little bit too long to appear on the index page. Try to make it short and let the visitor know what he needs to know with a few lines.

great site...

i think that this is a good idea to do and as said before you have to get things onto the site first and have it running before others will put stuff on it

When people see that there is stuff and its running alot more people will start adding things so give it a shot and good work
