when you click on the logo at the top the index site opens in a new window. Is there are reason why the same site has to be displayed in several sites?

Thanks Partyjan.

There is absolutely no reason... fixing that up as we speak!

The first page tool about 10 seconds to load and then other pages took less than a second. The over all design looks great. The other sides do look a little plain though.

Thanks for all your comments.

The site is heavy on imagery so it was always going to take a little time to load, we are happy with that as long as its not unbearable - which from everyones comments I think it seems it is...

Cheers everyone,

Adam

takes too long for my tastes.

I would recommend the following:
1. break the large image at the top into sections differently then you have now. Compression and other aspects of saving for web can be effected by how many colors are actually in the image.

I would slice out the magazines into their own images. One for compression and two so you can change them with ease in the future.

You might consider using pngs instead of jpgs as well. Jpgs don't compress well when displaying red. So you have to have a larger file weight to keep a red jpg from going south on you.

2. I would add black to the background color of the large header, so that the wallpaper is not showing through while the images load.

3. I would convert the white area at the bottom from an image into white hex value based area and use actual text instead of images. The only images would be the 4 different logos.

Overall it looks nice, but it really needs to load about twice as fast.

Dear Adam
I think that your design is amazing, colorful and exciting. Maybe a bit strange in these times.
The only problem that I would try to "fix" (I don´t know if there is really a problem) is to guide to the visitor to what he must do when arrive to the site. I mean, is not clearly stated that visitor have to click in the desired magazine. If you could develop an indication of what to do without to scroll down, it would be very practical and useful.
Repeat, design is the most.
