lots fo stuff there for advanced dev (ie Coldfusion etc), i wish there were more Javascript resources. It would be cool if someone would have a site with only the USEFUL javascripts or tutorials, not moving buttons or stupid blinking backgrounds, but things that will inspire others to implement progressive design elements in their sites. just a thought...

i like the site although at first it's a bit intimidating. SO MUCH there to
look at. But most people are goign to be there for a specific reason and
be able to fidn what they need. That's great.

I'm not all that keen on your logo's size. You should really make it larger.
The shadowed boxes look cool, nice and clean. I like the colors too.

The only thing that bugs me, is the white page bg. I'd rather see you
stick with the greys, using #EEEEEE instead of white.

I agree on the white area, and many others have commented on that too, its too much of a contrast and I need to work on that. However I am very unmotivated to changing it as I would have to change many of the graphics as well to blend into the grey  (Like the shadows and stuff)

just needs that "little something."

Hey guys, before I actually spend a ton of time redoing every little image on bigwebmaster to accompany a new background instead of white I decided it would be best to figure out exactly what I want first, as it would suck to have to do it yet again. Anyway here are a bunch that I did on Photoshop since I can do it very fast and easy there. Let me know if there are any you think I should go with below... thanks.

Texture 5 is my favorite.. im afraid with so many choices you may not get someone with the same vote twice.... but it definanately is Texture #5 for me... (might be the easiest to implement too for different browser sizes)

Well so far I have talked to a few others, who haven't posted here, but it seems that #eeeeee is the most popular choice. I will give it some more time though to see if anbody favors something else.

cowkiller, what does your comment have anything to do with a web site
review or bigwebmaster? maybe I missed it or misunderstood, but
please keep your posts on topic. Especially in this forum, where the
reviews and comments need to be productive. Thanks.

I just surfed your site Big Webmaster and I like it a lot, I may not be a big technical guy on layout and stuff, but I have hunted for some Webmaster resources in my time and I think I really like it both for the content (lots of it) and especially, for the straightforward layout, It was easy to find a few things and mostly within a couple of clicks. I would vote for your site to go on my "Elite" List of Bookmarks.

I think I like the lighter grey just like it is, color scheme is nice :)
