OK, I'll take a look. Not sure you want to hear what I have to say, but it
will be honest. I'm not bashing anything about your design, but you
wanted good comments, and all I want to do is give you the reasons I
think it will make your site better. Just so you're aware of how I review
sites...

*checking*

OK...

I like the basic colors and layout. If I didn't know from your post, I would
have no idea what it is the site is about. Maybe add a band pic on the
home section, or on the splash page. Even some music when it loads
would be a nice clue.

Overall, it's not a bad start, but here's some things I'd do to improve --

1. It's not a very large site in terms of filesize, but a preloader would be
good to have.
2. Splash page isn't centered.
3. Nix the popup. You should just load it centered in an html page with a
bg image to tie it all in.
4. Fonts are all blurry. Try using a font made for flash or make sure all
your text boxes are on whole coordintates. (x=5.0 y=150.0).
5. Work on transitions to boost the idea of having a site in flash. As it is
right now, you could just do this all in html and it would be just as
effective. You have somewhat of transitions on some sections, but it's
not consistant and doesn't hold a flow to the navigation.
6. The speed of your news box on mouseover is a bit fast.

Hey the site looks nice. The only thing I worry about with a site like this is that it is not very search engine friendly.

yeah, this site was constructed about a year ago...
The band is actually having me do a version 2 of the site, and was just wondering what you liked/dislisked about the site...

If you were me, would you construct the next site in flash or html... one thing is for sure, if I construct the next site in flash it will be more animated... w/ the first I ran out of time, so the animation nixed

definitely flash!

all my sites if possible will be in flash or at least partly in flash. It's almost
a waste not to have it, of you ask me. Especially since I can turn over a
flash site as quickly as an html site, so that's not a factor any more.

I'm in process of a redesign for a band as well, and i'm going 100% flash, no question.

I loved your choice of colors, I think they work well with the site. I would like to see more original content and information about the site including more live video/music clips. Would love to see you throw some more intricate and powerful flash on the site.

Mass Frequency was taken off the Blackwaterrock.com project. The band agreed that the use of Flash in this case was more hinderance than help, mainly that everything seemed slightly out of focus and yet at the same time physically small...it made updates painfully slow and many of our fans couldn't see the pages as they didn't have flash. The new Blackwaterrock.com has been done entirely by one of the band members totally in HTML with the help of some friends. Would love input on what you like and dislike about the new site and most helpful would be fixes you'd suggest to make it better.

Thanks for your help!
