I know I've got a few problems to fix. Would you mind revealing some of my errors? (B/c I'm a noob)

I forgot the link: http://www.chattanoogacru.com/

The site isn't live yet. If you guys give me some negative feedback I will probably fix some things.

Your design is cool. I like the color you put together.

Very little contents ( words ). And the contact link isn't working yet?..

Good work.
Overall, desgin I'll give a 7 out of 10 star rate.

I'm going to put the Simple Modal contact form there. It is a light-boxish contact form. The problem was it was adding about 20s to my load time! I may make a link that says "skip to content" because the top half of the page is a hog.

Thanks for the comment, George L. (Content will go up once we migrate to a new server)

No problem. Why is it taking 20s to load? Anyway, Good Luck :)

People will be visiting for one of two things: To find out current Cru info, or to contact the leaders. Its a navigation functionality thing I'm trying out.

The simple modal contact form was making a ton of extra http requests. I'm not totally sure why, so its temporarily disabled.

Is there anything I should change/improve?

Way to much space everywhere on my screen. My whole scree is taken and I have half an image and 3 links. Reduce the gaps add contact next to home and about and obviously start posting.

That being said it is a very nice looking blog I really like the colors and the look if the above is fixed up.

Good luck

I like the layout and stuff, just add content, work on the contact and you're all set.

Let me know if you need some help

For being new to this as you have mentioned, that's a pretty good start. The layout is great, but the logo (the yellow wood) is not up to the same level as the layout itself, it just doesn't match. The layout, reminds me of another site that has been posted here. But the layout has since changed on that one and there is no use in linking to it.

Wow, I didn't realize that that looked like yellow wood, but I realize that you're right. It is supposed to look like paint.

How should I change this? What can I do to make it look better/work better?

Well, the only problem I have is that it's color it too bold for a grey scale site. Personally, I would transform "Chattanooga Cru" into a logo of some sort and make a border for it similar to that of the search box.

Alright. The biggest problem here is IE. I've created a second style sheet for IE, so fixing the annoying bugs won't be a problem. How can I fix the IE png transparency issue. I've tried the .htc css hack and a javascript hack. For some reason they just aren't working. Does anybody have some suggestions? (Background CSS png transparency)

I've replied on your Feedback part :)
Also, notice how the light-grey boxes have padding at the top and bottom? The dark grey one doesn't - could be an easy fix ;)

I'm not sure that I get your meaning, neksus...you'll have to excuse me b/c I'm a dummy.

I've fixed some of the spacing issues and the contact link is moved. It makes more sense to me to have it with the rest of the nav too...
