Hi everyone. I've been meaning to work on a new layout for http://www.prchecker.net but have only finally gotten around to getting it done. If you guys could, I would like some feedback on the new layout at http://www.prchecker.net/test/index.php - it's not totally finished yet but I'm almost done.

Thanks in advance.

I have been using your site about once a week lately. I looked at the new site and think the idea of adding tips is great. Keep up the good work

Your domain name included the word "google" which is a trademark of Google, Inc. But Google doesn't have any kind of trademark or copyright over "pr" so they wouldn't have any problems with my domain name.

I've gotta say that I prefer the old layout. It looks simpler and more professional. The black background just kills the professionalism of a page in my opinion. The original site has a very clean layout with a professional colour scheme. Basing the sites solely on looks, I'd be much more tempted to use the original one.

Looks cool, and a very usefull tool...

One minor flaw, it's somewhat slower then other pr checking tools I used.

Keep it up!

It took about 1 second after entering the site url.......if there are faster ones out there I don't think it even matters......

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

desertland - I understand that the black background may make it look a bit more unprofessional. I always found the original style to look quite boring - thus why I wanted a new one. Do you think if I changed the color scheme but kept the same layout it would look more professional? If so, what colors do you recommend I use?

utopiad - Sorry if the site seems a little slow. It's currently on a shared hosting plan; but after I get the new style all fixed up I'll move it to my server which will definitally make it a lot faster.

apsblackbelt2 - If Google and Alexa have seen your site then it should be coming up. If your site is new, then you probably won't have a PageRank atleast until the next PR update.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Edit:
I just whipped up a quick version of the new layout in a gray form. You can see a screenshot here: http://www.imagecabin.com/images/s9E10120.jpg

Does that make it look any more professional? Any other colors you could recommend?

Thanks for the help!

Edit: (again)

I decided to make a coded version of the same layout with a more green color scheme - I think I like it more than the black. You can see it at http://www.prchecker.net/test/test/index.php

Any opinions?

http://www.prchecker.net/test/test/index.php seems to be the best version of the site I've seen. I would say use it! I really like it. *stresses you to considerate it as the main version of the site*

Thanks for the advice apsblackbelt2, I think I'll go with it :)

pine_things, the reason it has 0 is because it was created after the PR update in July. I've done many, many hours of work and when the next update comes I'm expecting atleast a PR 4, maybe a 5.

That's because I was just moving everything over to my server and the nameservers hadn't settled yet. I've decided to go with the new layout in the greenish color scheme.
