My friends band approached me a month or so ago and asked me to make a site for their band. A few designs and a lot of work later, i came up with this:

This is pretty much my first real site, from PS to the Web + content. Please be honest and give me advice, tips, whatever. Just dont make me cry... :)

cool intro page --
'couple thoughts

- where am I "click[ing] to enter" ?
- the hover over view with/without music makes the text disappear.
- where do I "click to IM?"
- i'd be cool to fill out a easily-found form to book the band.
- You should get the merch. up quick. Their friends will buy.

yeah, the splash page isnt the most user freindly...i gotta fix that.

i think i fixed the dissapearing mouseover

good idea with the form...but i dont know how to set up a form :oops: lol

thanks for the advice, i appreciate it!

EDIT: do you think it would make sense to make the image a link to the site with music (as the default) with a link under the image just for people who dont want the music?

Overall it's a good site. I liked the bar at the bottom with the stop, play, pause for the music, and the option people can click on if they can't hear the music.

However, I did have trouble trying to find where to click on to go to another page. Maybe make the "click to enter" button on the first page larger, or somehow make the picture of the band more obviously a button. :)

Maybe even contain just the image on the first page, and once it's loaded and played have the page automatically redirect? With a [skip intro] button at the bottom? I was waiting for the page to do something after I had watched the splash, and it was a while before I realised it wouldn't!

I really like the layout once you get into the site. Very simple and clean. The only problem I have is the frontpage, and when you click on a section header. I find the links difficult to read

I'm really impressed. I love the feel of your site. I read all of the other responses to your initial request for review and agree with their assessments. The images are relevant and fun - the layout is original.

I'm going to check back every now and again to look at your site to see it after you make some of the updates.

I like the way you put wether you want to listen to music or not when you enter the site. However i don't think that the "news" should be the home page. Thats my opinion though. But i really like the flash.

I really like your site. I like the part were you can click to play, stop, and do stuff with the music. What I did not like was the enter thing It tooks me a while to find it it should be a little bigger. :D
