Over the past week I have been working hard on a new website which is focused around counter-strike (online multiplayer game). It has been designed to fit into any browser and I think it loads pretty quickly. All the content is fed via PHP from a mysql database.

So, comments? :D

It's rare for me to do a cursory review, but I will get back to you in a bit.

First thought: it's very generic plug and play CMS looking.
I'm at work, with crappy monitor and no glasses, but I cannot read that dark green on black, my eyes just start watering. It's especially bad on the links.
Text in general is very small.
It's TOO black for my liking, dark themes are cool, but off-black is always more pleasant.
Plenty of validation errors:

Tables, Ick :lol:

I understand this issue since I viewed the site at school which has really bad monitors. Therefore I wrote a bit of code to give those having trouble reading another option. By clicking the 'Easy Read' link under the navigation the stylesheet switches with slightly larger fonts and brighter colours. Hope this helps.

The validator needs to be able to get to your site to find the errors lol, sites down, hence the fact that the validator link isn't working :P

Part of the three posts required for me to ethically post a review suggestion for my site i chose this site. Let me tell you a little about my thoughts about this site: Here goes.

The title of this site brought specific attention to me for I was also one of many college bound students that wasted way to much time playing this game. Althought I felt the content of this site was a little immature I was very impressed with the graphics and choice of content words. Only a true artist would be confident enough to criticize the design of this site. Unfortionately i dont feel as if i am a true artist :oops: However, I have taken a few art classes at my local college. Unfortionetely I was unable to pass to the next level because I failed my finger painting exam. Oh well. Anyways, i do feel this site has potential. If and only if you meet these requirements.

1. Dont be brokeass. Pay for legit hosting
2. Dont SPAM, my mother gets way to much viagra emails
3. Keep the popups to a minumum. My buddy dislexic so everytime. he gest a popup he has to either tilt his head or press CTRL ALT DLT to exit it. My buddy currently wears a neck brace on account of a recent skdiving accident so dont count on him neing a true patron to your site.

After I finished writing the above I got a few more ideas.
Go for like a few banner impression based affiliates. To boost revenue. If u got money go for some SEO..

I give this site a 2 Thumbs Up Dude!

Ok, on my monitor at home all is readable, although I think would still be difficult for some. So some general advice on accessibility:

That you take into account those with disabilities is comendable. However, the "easy read" does <b>not</b> retain state. I would use a cookie system so that the users do not have to keep clicking it for every page - it will only take a couple of lines of php to set and check for a cookie. Secondly, the link lies under the 600x800 "fold", it even lies below the 1024x768 fold. It really needs to be up the top somewhere, so it is easily found.

In addition, refrain from using px sizing for text. Use % values. If you do that, people can just use their text zoom to enlarge the text, so alter:
Code: [ Select ]
font-size: 10px;
to:
Code: [ Select ]
font-size: 70%;
(or something close)

While I was finding that piece of css on your site I saw the image swap JS. Don't. Use a css rollover. I did a quick google and came up with this:
http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/css/uberlinks/
Definately worth checking out - it will save you a hell of JS code, and will not require people to have JS running
