i would suggest change the navigation system from text to images since mostly the site looks really photoshopped.

other then that its clean, simple and easy to navigate.

Wow.
You're the first person who's ever wanted to dampen results in a search engine on purpose.

lol I wasn't bitching :P
I don't see how changing the links to images would serve any purpose, though. Once you navigate away from the landing everything flows, so why change it?

I guess its just the orange that throws me off a bit since your site is blue and white i was at first going to say change the hover to a darker color but then i was like well that wont look right, then i said *peach* it just make it images that light up basically have you seen the images that you can scroll over it and it lights up the text in the middle that would be cool ;)

I've got no problems utilizing a background image, but if the links themselves get changed I'd have to throw in text links somewhere, which would probably clutter the page as there's not much content.

Ok now that i have time to re-enforce what i was saying okay look below.

First

Image

Second

it goes from blue to brown then back to a blue content box below it its a nice fade but the color scheme there needs adjustment, basically yes the site is nice except for that menu it just throw me off, the change from orage and brownish to white and a orange underline yeah thats not right especially with a mostly blue and white website brown is a non-bright color and most of your website is bright so keep it uniform into being bright. basically the orange underscores also does not look right for the navigation system

Image

Possibly change the brown background to blue, the letters grey #CCC and highlight White #FFF

also what you can do as for SEO you really dont need alot of text content to pull up search strings its all about the Robot.txt file, the Meta-Tags and also as well the coding in the header file for example check this out.

Code: [ Select ]
<head>
<title>Chicago Music Promotions - Independent - Unsigned - Signed Artist & Djay Promotions Worldwide</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset={$entity_encoding}">
<meta name="robots" content="index, follow">
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="cache">
<meta name="description" content="{$meta_description}">
<meta name="Keywords" content="unsigned, independent, djays, djay, dj, signed, label, talent, promoter, labels, talent management, indie booking, booking agency, chicago promotions, unsigned artists, independent artists, unsigned, promotion, promotions, indie, chicago music promotions, music, music promotions, chicago music, music chicago, unsigned talent, unsigned, talent, exposure,djs,dj,unsigned artist,unsigned artists,music,promotions,chicago music promotions, rap, techno,house,dance, jazz">
<meta name="designer" content="Matthew Nalett - CMP Network">
<meta name="generator" content="CMP Network System 10.0">
<link href="{$SKIN_URL}/MediaPro.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />
  1. <head>
  2. <title>Chicago Music Promotions - Independent - Unsigned - Signed Artist & Djay Promotions Worldwide</title>
  3. <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset={$entity_encoding}">
  4. <meta name="robots" content="index, follow">
  5. <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="cache">
  6. <meta name="description" content="{$meta_description}">
  7. <meta name="Keywords" content="unsigned, independent, djays, djay, dj, signed, label, talent, promoter, labels, talent management, indie booking, booking agency, chicago promotions, unsigned artists, independent artists, unsigned, promotion, promotions, indie, chicago music promotions, music, music promotions, chicago music, music chicago, unsigned talent, unsigned, talent, exposure,djs,dj,unsigned artist,unsigned artists,music,promotions,chicago music promotions, rap, techno,house,dance, jazz">

  9. <meta name="generator" content="CMP Network System 10.0">
  10. <link href="{$SKIN_URL}/MediaPro.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />

Thats just for 1 of my sites and thats the new one.

lol pragma is the same as cache-control, which as you quoted I spelled wrong, so thank you :)
And <meta name="ROBOTS" content="ALL">
tells the robots what to do - no need for robots.txt as it isn't a standard.

That's not really true at all...meta tags are next to useless - the only reason they're there at all is because they're worth more than nothing.

If meta tags were rated that heavily any site could just add stuff to their keywords and get top page ratings - it's an obvious spam tactic so it doesn't work.

also depends on the following, how many sites you have your website listed on search websites that are indexing your site, and also as well keywords you have implimented into the crawlers.

backlinks, frontlinks, search bots, search indexing platforms, also as well other websites that hook you up and display your link.
