I think the colors are a bit plain, and cold *brrrr*

If i was you i would try and fit the search in with the site, it looks naff having just a search on the side, it also means that i have got to scroll sideways which i (and a lot of other people) get annoyed by.

The links change to red on mouse over, red and blue dont really do together, like having fire and water. Maybe try making them change to a different color, purple?

I also noticed that the navagation is at the bottom? shouldnt that be at the top? (ii like the the image rollovers on the buttons though)

I am viewing on firefox (mozilla) and it all looks ok. :D

Tony,

I did try to add the search box inside the pages but it throws out the formatting, must be something to do with how my web design package handles the script, will try to figure it out (Netobjects Fusion 7)

Point on colours noted.

Thanks for your input.

OK I colourised the logo with warmer colours instead of just white

I changed the hover over text switch to black

I moved the nav bar to the top of the page

I moved the search box to its own page

Does it look a bit better now?

Yeah i think thats a lot better! im still not sure about the colors though, http://color.twysted.net/ try visitin there as its a good site to see what colors go together.

The links look better, but maybe you could think about making them the same color as the back ground of the titles that are just above them? or orange as in the main title.

Its definitly better then before though. :-D

9/10

As the others have said it is fairly plain and basic but is ok. One thing i dont really like is the top bar button and the way the switch over to a big grey square. how about some flash buttons for a softer transition.
overall though a nice well set out clear site.

The "search 1000....." text on the top was poorly anti-aliased and looked bad. It was not very easy to find stuff, and the layout was maybe not as logical as it should. If I were you, I'd go back to the drawing-board, using this as a starting point and developed the navigation and graphics.

It actually looks really good but the logo is kinda...plain? And the menu bar seems to be stretched out where it doesn't need to be. Oh, and that extra space to the right...bleh? Maybe center it?

The text is put there by my web design package (net objects fusion) how can I improve the quality? The text per page is added automatically (which saves a lot of time)

How would you improve the search system? Open to ideas... I know the product search section needs some work but search by brand should be OK?

I want a plain and simple site which gets people to the product quickly and easily so i intentionally haven't gone overboard with flashy graphics etc. Seems everyone hates the nav bar buttons so will work on those.

What can I do to improve it without overdoing the graphics / download time?

Thanks to all for feedback...

The design is good I guess, thought it isn't the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Your site looks like one of those redirection pages you go to if you have spyware and junk.

The buttons have been changed to get rid of the grey boxes & the product grouping improved..

I don't know how you link my site to spyware - there are no popups or popunders, no banner ads on the homepage at all, no casino or sex site links, what makes it like spyware?

It's a list of UK shops/products pure and simple, it's not supposed to be a graphical all singing&dancing site as I think this would scare off my target audience. The whole point is a simple and easy to use site that gets the visitor quickly to what products they want to see.

I like it, Jasper, although I would prefer to see a bit more graphics at the top of the home page and the product search page. Looks a tad bit bland. And the Easy Order name looks huge to me.

Other than that, I like the overall color scheme and the mouseover colors. The specific product pages are nice, with plenty of pics and detail to describe the product.

Like the Rugby section!! You ship to the US!
