SITE REVIEW: First forum dedicated to directories

Forum dedicated to directories, submissions, listings, creation, development and maintaince of a directory. Main topics are review of directories available online, Famous Directories (Dmoz, Yahoo, Wow, etc), Make your own directory - ideas, tips and assistance in creating your own directory, review of scripts that build directories. Also there are forums for directory promotion, link exchange and advertising opportunities.

Any ideas on optimization, promotion and further development of the site are most welcomed.

Also any ideas on design are also welcomed. Especially logo.

Yeah, the logo has got to go.. I am sure a lot of people here would be very willing to help out in that department.. Also, may be it's just me but that Sure is green.. I don't know.. I am color blind.. But, really when it comes to getting forums to attract people is a GOOD template..

Any spesific ideas on what would be better with regard to logo?

Also i am not sure i got you with regard to template? Are you saying template i have is good one?

the changes you have made looks great, I dont mind those tones of green, much better than the tacky bright green I first saw.

does it really have to be green? try to mix in another color to sort of take a little away from it there is just a lot of green and its distracting lol (it might just be me)

i really dont mind the green i think the biggest thing is change the logo at the top to something more snazzier

Keep these green colors. The decent but effective use of different shades of green for columns is great, also the combination of greenish-yellow with green and the constraint on two colors only.

I would also recommend to completely replace the navigation and logo, however.

Especially: never mix serifless and serif fonts without a strong aesthethic reason! Your header section sort of falls apart from the rest of the page because it has a different "font sentiment".

Finally: What is the reason for using two different navigation systems on top of your page?

There are two reasons:

1) Upper Navigation is for the whole site gandalfdir.com that includes directory, archive, contact and advertising page while the lower navigation is for forum only.

2) ... Actually why not- i this i will try to make it one navigation for all, thanks martin
