To be honest.. you have a smf forum, with default theme. To make things worse your have spoiled it with a misaligned logo and some badly thought out advertisements.

Perhaps you should start to explain where these 591 members are.. then perhaps I will be able to give some advice on how to get posting.

Those adds should be placed mabye at the side of your forum like ozzu has on the right hand side. Or at the bottom, It looks like someone has just thrown them onto the site.

As for the SMF, The comment above mine is what i was going to say. Sort the logo out first. Then work on getting a new theme for the site.

SMF is great becuase adding mods is so simple. So you should add some cool modifications to make your site stand out a bit more. As for your member issue. Getting regular active members is hard, Most of the 500 members as a guess would be "BOTS"

Mabye look at some paid and free advertising. Also make sure you have added your website to google http://www.google.co.uk/addurl or http://www.google.com/addurl

Ha, To be honest if you designed your own forum from scratch then we could comment more on the site.

Exactly, but this one comes straight from http://www.simplemachines.org/ ... I had a quick look at it and it seems pretty much standard (Just a theme loaded) ... If it was built from scratch then yes, it deserved a thorough round of applause ...

They also managed to make that w3 valid

The reason for this post is that I suggest you to fix the validation errors... at least on your homepage rather than on the forum... but after all, (I'll back you up), after all, you're a computer specialist not a programmer  or so how I take it... :iconthumbleft:
