I have recently lauched a Free Web Sites Directory.

I would like your openion about the following:

1. Design
2. Layout

I like the colors and general look of your site eventhough its simple and resembles many other sites on the net. It has a nice clean look except the top banner which is a bit blurry. I might consider adding a few more categories as I wanted to add my trivia site and couldnt find any games category for example.

A good Website with cool layout , but please highlight the "submit site" link on the homepage.
The submit site link was not easy to locate

I liked it in general. Few small items:

1. Not all URLs start with "www".
2. You need to highlight the submit link with a different color.

As most of my visitors are webmasters, the banner will be replaced soon with an offer related to them.. and will definetely consider adding more categories, btw, your site currently falls in the Kids & Babies category > Games... so place it there for the time then will move it later.



On the next update, will address this issue as many people have suggested this..

1. You are right, but to reduce the affiliates and multiple submissions of the same site (sub categories), I had to do this.

It looks nice specially the upper part (eye friendly).

i think you should improve the look of the lower copyright bar specially the font, the size and the colour.

What would be kind of neat would be to make drop down menus in your categories. I saw the little orange arrow next to each category and was expecting a menu to slip out, but it redirected me to another page.

I think that you should be able to type in a search term (maybe I just missed it). Also, I couldn't find a category for my new site (mini storage facility). Maybe a "suggest a category" feature would be helpful.

The site loads fast.
Usability is good because I can see the add a site link and the search categories.
However, I want to know what is usefulness of a Web directory when we have thousands of these. What is so unique about this directory. If it has some unique features, I would put them on the top.

Your site looks cool and user friendly. Very easy to navigate, looks like a winner. For some reason I had some difficulty to get to the submission form ( 3 attempts), almoust gave up, but at the end it opened up. Another thing to consider is the USP ( what is the purpose of the site and how it different from others). Overall good job if my humble opinion counts. i am not a website developer, just somebody who created his first website for his business. I hope to improve it and learn something along the way.

Not bad. The layout looks really clean and the colors are very nice.
The only thing that I would suggest is to add a search box.
After all, this is a web directory.

PS What about sites that don't have the www set in front of them? I think you should just have the htt: part and let them add the www if they need it
