Umm, if I need to be logged in to rate than how did I rate another portfolio? I never registered :scratchhead:

When you're not logged in, you're treated as being logged on as the username 'Guest' pretty much, so if anybody who wasn't logged in rated them and then you try to when not logged in it will say you already rated them, as you both would've been 'Guest'. This is why I'll be changing it because I know it's confusing.

firstly, you should preload the rollovers for the main-nav right at the top, people like me with slower connections have to wait for them before they are seen ...

So, the first thing I did was click on "Create online portfolio" and I got the following message: "Username not registered, Go Back" ... Uhmm, what!? I was plannign to create one, not log in ...

When I hover over the "home" link, all the content on the "home" page dissappears ... and then when I take the mouse away again, it comes back ... Not good, not good at all ...

At the top, right underneath the header logo, there are those 3 menus (Account, Portfolio's & market, Top5) ... their heights are not the same which makes the background come through on each of them, but not one of them is the same height as another, so it looks pretty weird ...

You should really see your site in IE6 before going any further ... on every page except for the "home" page, the td.profile (I think, basically I'm talking about the content part) is below the menu and doesn't float to the right of it ... which looks absolutely horrible ... I think once the W3C errors are sorted out, you should fix this immediately, then I'll give a proper review ...
Let's leave all our *plum* where it is and go live in the jungle ...

Thanks for pointing that out, I did have the site working in IE6 but I have made some small graphical updates which obviously effected it. I'll make sure to fix that.

I've made quite a few updates to the site based on the suggestions raised here.

righteous, I've fixed most of the issues regarding IE6 you pointed out, the only one left is the height issue on those 3 boxes, the ammount of the background showing through now is less but it's still not completely fixed. I will continue to work on that though. I've also replaced the 'Username not registered, go back' page with somthing more informative.

Also, if you rate / recommend when you are not logged in now rather than saying you have already rated it, it will say you need to log in to do it.

There are still a couple more small things left but I will get to them very soon.

Thanks again for all the helpful suggestions.

your site layout is fine but i suggest you to change your site backgroud from blue to grey on any other suits with your page background as both clors are blue if you make your site bg color different then your page color your site may have better impact.

The menu is large and easy to navigate.
