http://toxic-bliss.org/flaky/

Ive been working on it alot for the past few weeks, and the only thing that doesnt work is the "Downloads" Link.

Other than that the site should run pretty smoothly.

It's made in pure html, and sooner or later im gonna get a php program to organize the pictures better.

Also, im going to install fusion news later.

Tell me what you think!

All I can say is that it looks....wierd :D

The site looks simple enough and is probably good for your aim...which I'm not entirely sure of... :scratchhead:

It's a good start though, keep it up

Erm...

I have no idea what your site is about.. You need an about us page, or a short description on the homepage telling the world what your about.

Also the site is aligned right??

The white parts on the page overpower the actual design. And it really makes me want to click away.

Maybe instead of using stick figure man, you could use some of your photographs within the page design. That way the world would better know what your site ia about also.

Well, lol, if you click the "HappyFood" Button, which happens to be the name of my site, you get pictures of food with faces on them.

But i will take the about us idea in mind.

Thats all well and good, I did click the happyfood button, but I didnt know what it was until I saw the photos.

Web Design is all about good content management and making it easy for the user to find what they want isnt it?

And the way your siter is set out at th emoment, first time surfers wouldnt have the faintest clue

1: What your site is about
2: Where anything is on your site.

This is just MHO though, no offence meant by it.

With time going on you'll get lots of pictures, then you might want to increase the global size of the gallery.

BACKGROUND COLOR ! Jesus, what's wrong with designers these days ? This is an epidemic: a lot of designers just assume that the users have #FFFFFF as default BG color. Is it so hard to add "bgcolor=#ffffff" to the Body tag?
Well, I mean no harm but it's a serious plague.
Other than that, you may want to center your content.

i dont understand whats the point of this website??????????

the layout looks very unprofecianal which i think you dont care about since the website name is happy food. anyway you should try adding some content to the website and sligning it to the center.

Haha where did you get that idea from?

The site looks good, except if you can, try to make the shoutbox colors match better.

I like your design. It´s refreshingly different and your colors, fonts and simplicity of design fit together smoothly.

As it has been said, I would definitely center all pages.

Even if you don´t care about other browsers than IE, try to correct the display problems in Mozilla firefox on your entry page (jagged edges on top of the picture and the unneeded scroll bar)

I fully agree with benat about good content management in general. For a non commercial site, however, it is perfectly legitimate to raise curiosity and suspense by not telling explicitly what the site is all about. I mean, if a site´s name is "Happy food", colors and fonts are immediately associating kids and there is a funny food picture in front:, is there any doubt about what´s inside?

I liked it. The fact that there really isn't any point to the site makes an "About Us" or whatever page redundant IMO. Well done for centering and adding BGCOLOR=#FFFFF, I didn't see it without, but it's good you've done that.

Might want to check out:

http://www.mrscruff.com and
http://www.nataliedee.com

for more similar "art". Maybe get some inspiration from them.
