Well, looking for some critics here.

I know the gallery doesn't have an image, I am debating whether or not to javascript the gallery into the main image. For now its in a new window for full view. The images aren't exactly finalized, I need to separate some of the scanned images.

Thinking about some business details on the side with latest or random gallery image. He did not want a project based portfolio.

There is no database involved in this site.

He loves the colors, he was wondering about flames instead of the tribal. I don't think its going to work unless I find make some very nice flames to blend in. Considered tribal flames in a way.

The text I am using I am curious about, possibly a different font.

Working on the content right now. Suppose to be a simple website, just looking for some thoughts and opinions. Thanks

Hey there,

If you create a gallery, I would use AJAX for it. It is more SEO friendly. Check out this page:

http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/

There is also an AJAX script called lightwindow:

http://stickmanlabs.com/lightwindow/

Both of these scripts would make excellent galleries.

My biggest issue with the site is content - you need more of it.

My biggest compliment is i love the design. The font is fine.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Hey dude,

There's a gallery script called lightbox:
http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox/

This should blow your client away, it's free and it's compatible with all new browsers.

Hey there,

Jeff, that script is the old version of lightbox.

Theres a link in my previous post that has the 2.0 version :)

Check this out:

Its lightbox 2.0 in action. My client was blown away ;)

I built the gallery from scratch for my own learning experience. Where's the joy of designing a web page if all we do is use a script designed by someone else. Now I see that lightbox makes an amazing gallery, and yes, many clients would be blown away. But I see passion in taking a programming problem and attacking it myself. Now its not going to look as good as lightbox, but its customizable and works.

As far as content being a problem, I know. I wish he had more to give me. I am attempting to put up what I can, but its hard knowing very little about his process. I should of been up to learning about it more. And actually got a tour of his business.

Fonts were changed a little bit.

Things are still being added.

Hey there,

If you know flash, there are a lot of great flash photo galleries too.

Those are pretty easy to create yourself.

I love creating everything myself as well. But AJAX is just too awesome for me to pass up :)

Good luck on your site.
