Gday altyfc,

One of things we ask people who submit sites to be reviewed is that they review 3 other sites who are wanting them. You have only done two. I wont lock your two posts in this section, but would ask you to do one more to be fair to everyone else to keep this system running smoothly.

On the other hand if you don't I will lock them until you do or remove them entirely.

Cheers,
Rose :D

I must say it is quite a nice set-up on your site.

Found a hotel in sheffield which isn't listed.

Novatel?

anyway the design is quite nice, maybe the links are a bit close at points... but other than that it's ok :)

ok i have to tell you...that map thingy is awsome! Nice simple layout...don;t really need to change anything....maybe put a green border (just a line) around the whole site for people with larger screen res.

I like your site nice use of the colors and its layed out nicely. One thing i'm always concerned about is resolution and your site works well on all.
Only thing that bothers me is the closeness of your words. They can be at time a little difficult to read but other than that the site is great. Lots of useful information and easy to browse.

stick to it!

i aggree: the layout & colors are nice. but the page seems to be scrunched up. maybe you could spread it out, or use a table for the main page hotel list. on the search page, i suggest giving the text on the right some room... and aligning it more twoards the center. when a link is click on, however, i think the layout and spacing is just right there.
as far as usability goes, your site is great. good job.

wouldn't it be easier to create the site using a database? and store the information about the hotels?
would save time because of the use of page-mapping templates and would be easily updatable with a CMS (Content Management System)

Other than that, the visual design is really good and the site is well laid out

Just curious, but what makes you assume that we don't use a database? Is it because all the files are .htm files?

Thanks for the feedback everyone! :D

Very clean and easy to use site.

On the page leading to a hotel's information (example: http://www.ukhotel.com/cumbria+lake-this ... leside.htm), the Google AdSense and very large ad on the top right take command of the screen.

I almost didn't realize I was supposed to click on a hotel name and thought your site was a list of links via ads.

Actually, we should consider working together. One of the sites I manage is http://www.RealAdventures.com which is a directory of accommodations, adventures and travel ideas around the world. We are rather light on our hotels in the UK. Another site that I manage offers a great postcard feature. http://www.AtlasWebTools.com.

I like your site - its a good idea!

I think you could do with more images? especially on the home page? Perhaps some photos of the best hotels etc?

quality design and good use of the map which is really helpful. I agree with the last post that you need an image or 2 of a good hotel or something to brighten it up.
Other than that you have a good website with easy navigation and good content

Thanks all...

Tom... I am aware of your realadventures site... we also run http://www.aardvarktravel.net (and the forums at http://www.aardvarktravel.net/chat should you wish to join!). If you think we can help or work together at all, just get in touch.
