This site should be a quite complete collection of unit converters. Took me quite a while to build it. However, there are almost no visitors to the site. Please give me some suggestions on how to market it.

I like the way the converters are categorized and laid out, makes finding the appropriate conversion form easily in both the express and full versions. For this I like it better than http://www.onlineconversion.com/ or http://www.unitconversion.org/

My only suggestion would be for the left menu: have the menu expansions and contractions take place only on the client side, so that the page doesn't have to be reloaded.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try to create a version of javascript navigation to compare.

I agree with cipher, your site makes it much easier to find and make the appropriate conversions over those other sites.

It's just so hard to compete with this.

Excellent design though. Simple, straightforward, and easy to use. Everything that a site of that nature should be.

Your idea is great, but your backlinks are in dire need of attention. You only of 1. Backlinks are the backbone to steady traffic to your website. What you need is targeted high traffic backlinks to get some steady traffic flowing through your website. I would make this your foremost priority until you can reach at least 300 or so backlinks.

As others have said: nice site! It has just about everything that someone who wants to convert something to something else would want. It's also easy to use and well categorized, as others have also said.

That aside, it also has a little "blah" factor. Your header simply says "Unit Converter." You could spice up the name, give it a catchy header graphic, maybe even a mascot. Right now it looks like a very technical site that wouldn't stand out visually in a visitor's memory. More information on the top about what can be converted at the site would also help. Think of a catch phrase or something that will stick in people's minds when they visit the site. Most people don't have an appreciation for programming work (because many don't know the first thing about it). Though what you have done is impressive, but only other programmers will know.

Also, research other conversion sites. What does yours offer that the competition doesn't? Is it easier to use? Does it offer more conversions in one place? As far as conversion sites go, you face staggering competition. Make your site unique and memorable then go and market it on technical sites. It will take time but persistence often pays off (but unfortunately now and again it doesn't).

You have a nice and potentially useful site, it just needs some spice.

I agree with many posts above. First off, Great idea... and even though it's been done before, this website COMPLETELY gets the job done. You have it categorized well, and its easy to convert anything. I've bookmarked the website. My only addition is to say maybe a header graphic of some type would help you... something catchy... yet fitting the theme.

What you need more than a review (since the website is good) is SEO tips... Google for them... bring users in. Once you bring users to a site like this they will DEFINITELY return for its usefulness and layout. I myself will return. It has great potential...

do some link exchanges... get it in all of the search engines... work on your keywords and soon you'll be in business... or rather have visitors.

i found it really quick and easy to use and liked its clean look. I would put a little more spice "keyword little" because I liked it as it is for the most part. Bookmarked it and will be using it in the future

I love the functionality.

But maybe more "gloss" in the header? What about a nice logo? also, I'm not sure I like the color or the kind of "dotted" effect. But thats just my opinion.

This site is one of the most wonderful things I have seen. You've made my list of bookmarks. I've been looking for a good site for unit conversion and you've got just about everything on there. Definitely easy use and navigate. I do have to agree with c0mrade about the dotted effect, I think it would be nice better with a logo at the top.
