Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

I have this website Industrial Classifieds and Auction, web address; http://www.industrialCandA.com.
I think of it as a market nitch type of website.
I have revamped the entire website, lowered my fees to squat nothing just about. Spent about $13,500.00 in advertising dollars ($8,500.00 on a TV ad, $5,000 on a radio ad) over the last year, I am still bleeding more money. Offering to help with the Hurricane victims by donating 25 cents for every new listing to the Red Cross. I get perhaps 200 to 300 visitors a day, NO NEW OR PAID LISTING OFF COURSE.

Can anyone help me out! I am all out of Idea’s.

I am in Google Ad Sense, Listed in Yahoo, Advertise with Enhance Interactive.
I just sent out a Press Release about the website donating to the Red Cross.

What else is there to do?

You've got a major grammar error in a huge font on the front page, and it's the first thing that visitors see.

IMO the site itself doesn't look that profesional. The top banner looks like just a random picture put there, the top navigation buttons are a bit blurry, with no hover effect, and the two buttons in the middle ("go back to classified listing..") don't really fit.

You also have some tough competition, like ebay, and local classified ads.

plus there is this:

I remember this site from a while ago when you first place it up for review. Still using the same banner image from what I recall  . Your menu graphics look horrible. Either make new ones or just put text links in place of them. Also, move the "Home" option to the very left and make it the first option available, thats just where its usually placed. You have a "Back" option at the very bottom of every page to help with the navigation, but make that more visible to the user. I didnt notice it at first and had a hard time going back and forth through your website. To help your bandwidth out (and look), you may want to generate actual thumbnail images for the items you have up for sale instead of resizing the original images to fit into your layout. Good to see you're still working hard on the site. Good luck with it.

Looks a good site backend wise, but appearance matters.

For one i would suggest using different colours/shades through out the site to break up the page abit. This will:-

a) Make it easier viewing
b) Make it look a bit more proffesional
c) Is easy to do

Another thing is all your buttons lok horiible, it looks like its straight from frontpage templates.

The overall view of the site is disorganised, due to the layout mmostly.

Could be alot better though and has alot of potential
Cheers
