I'm not fond of the links. The red doesn't seem to match since it's the only place that you use it. Also, the text in the paragraph around the links moves when you hover over a link, that's a big faux pas.
The table looks much better now that you got rid of that background; the text is easier to read. You're learning quickly, good job.

I'm using IE 6, but I doubt that it has anything to do with that. Hover over "Forum" on your main page and watch all of the text to the right of it move. It's because of the hover effect that you are using.

The text in the paragraph moves slightly for me too when I put my cursor over a link. Only very slightly though, but still needs to be fixed.

Hi

On the whole the site has some nice touches, I particularly like the fade in/fade out banner links on your links page... very cool. On this same page however, I had to highlight the text descriptions to read them - or have to lean right in to the monitor! Maybe, bring the text colour up a few shades.

Regards
Phil

Hi

The page that I refer to is

http://www12.brinkster.com/JACKCONNOLLY/links.html

the background seems to be too close a shade to the text colour.

Cheers
Phil

Oh yeah, well i will make the background another color, i am updating my website as of right now so it should be fixed later. I added alot of things in the past 3 days. You might want to check back later on my website, cause i should have it updated in about 3 hours or so, and it's 1:47 pm here so i dont know what it is there.

well i like the colors and fonts and the layout...they are all nice :) but might i ask, why is the "things to do..." table border a solid light red and the res of the tables a dark red purple? Howcome you wanted the "things to do..." table border a diff color? you might want to make it the same color.

The "Things to do" nav bar is red and within the top fold of the page to encourage/attract people into recommending the site or joining the newsletter - the red border is just for emphasis. I want to increase the rate at which visitors use these functions...

Cheers for the feedback

The site is slow and it's not user friendly. I wasn't sure if I should just click on it and see if it will take me to another page or wait for the page to load.
