When do you plan to implement the new layout?

I will be sending out a survey to see if everyone prefers it - because the old one seems more professional somehow. They're both good so it's difficult to choose.

If changed, I will update it with the launch.

I like this layout, but I haven't seen the other one.

- The links load kind of slow, but I expected that with images for links :) I use images as links too.

Usually, as a note, the "About" and "Contact Us" page are the last two links in a navigation bar (At least I have seing other sites like that and make my sites like that), but I don't think that that is an important feature.

More reviews from me would come later.

http://www.ismywebsite.com <--Old Layout

The link order I'm not sure about because I kind of think there's a subliminal message that says "we're more available to talk" when the contact link is closer on the menu. I don't know - maybe it has no effect.

And thanks for breaking the silence. Looking forward to more review in the future.

Also, for anyone interested in testing them, I have just released a demo of my advertising system. Right now, there's just placeholder ads there.

According to the links :), it's totally up to you, I was just stating where most web developers (or web designers?) usually chose to put those kind of stuff.

According to Jim Davis (The author of So you want you be a web designer?) or something close to that. Jim Davis wrote in his book that visitors read from up to down left to right.

The idea behind that is that the most MOST MOST important thing (such as your logo) should be the topmost and to the left of your site which catches the eyes of the visitors.

Jim Davis also stated a few exceptions. You could make their eyes lead to a certain spot on the web with color contrast, size of picture (generally more eye catching).

Usually the navigation is on top or on the left (as you have it), but if a web designer is careful the navigation can go on the right of the site. (I'm not hinting anything).

As my opinion, I like http://www.ismywebsite.com/index.php better for the HOME content and http://ads.ismywebsite.com/ for the look. (Compromise? :))

Well, that is just my opinion. I like the information found on the home page of the Old Layout (we may call it), but I like the visual of the New Layout.

Nice advertisement system :).

Now, for the CRITICS :).

OLD LAYOUT

IDEA: Changing the background of the Menu, Ads by Google, and Partner Sites from white to the main color of that column?
MINUS: On http://www.ismywebsite.com/links.php, the Link exchange Parters link leads to an error page.
PLUS: Site immediately states the purpose of the site and to which goal the site strives for.

New Layout

IDEA: Putting up that chart which states the hosting type (Plan, Improve, Promote, Expend).
MINUS: Is it only an advertisement system or a hosting program as well?
PLUS: Layout looks nice.

IDEA: Fixing the navigation :)
MINUS: The navigation seems to not align with the navigations of others. When I click "Register", the lower navigation seems to shift.
PLUS: Nice "Credit" system. I like it.

IDEA: Putting commas on your long numbers in credits.
MINUS: Do you purchase credits thou pay pal or credit card?
PLUS: Nice roll-over effects.

IDEA: Make the section "What is the cost" more understandable
MINUS: Don't understand how "What is the cost" agree with the table.

IDEA: Remove underline from the links.
QUESTION: Gameshack made the web design for you?
MINUS: The whole table seems to shift from left to right in IE7 :(.

MINUS: The roll-over effects are slow in IE.

MINUS: Do you have a FAQ page or is it that "ASK" on contact.php?

All in all, nice web site and could get a tad bit nicer :D

1) I think your site looks a bit to "out of the box" could use a little more personal touch.

I am sure you have received much input on design and structure so I won't comment on that. I didn't see anything related to server security? Might be good to assure potential clients that their site it being protected from attacks.
