Hello I would like to know what you guys think about the layout, Im not sure myself and would like some critisism. If the feedback is pretty positive Ill keep it as is for awhile. Also like to know any issues with different browsers. I tested in Opera, IE, firefox, and netscape; all latest versions. The code aint clean at all, Im a half arse coder. Also opinions on font and readability would be appreciated. Thanx.

I think that the green on the rollovers is just a little bit too bright. You might want to tone it down a bit.

Humm...

Okay, I looked at your site [url]http://www.ixtlanstudios.com/3d.html]Your Site[/url]

I't kinda hard for me to give a good review because I am really mixed about your site.

I do like the green logo of the flowers at the top left of your site, which is a definate plus. However, I find the layout of the site to be a little off.

The text on the site was somewhat hard for me to read on my laptop, and the links were a little hard to find. The moving text video loaded a little slow even for a DSL user, but I guess it is still acceptable.

Well, I have mixed feelings, I guess the site is simply "not my type" something that I don't prefer. The dark background and green text is simply too hard for me to read, thus making me to change pages.

Good luck with your site...

Yeah something about that layout doesn't quite sit right with me either. Yeah I agree the text is too dark, which was my main concern.

Links being hard to find is definately not good.

thanks for your input

That's a pretty site. I like the banner image :)

Couple of things:

- Your text is a bit hard to read. The grey against the black. If you notice, here on ozzy we also have grey on black but it's a much brighter grey. I'd suggest brightening up the font colour just a tad to make it stand out alot more.

- The images you used for titles of subsections is really hard to read. Either remove the outer glow, lower it or change the font type.

- YOu should put a back button somewhere so that when ppl are browsing the sectiosn they don't have to keep hitting the back button to go back to the sections.

- If sections of your site aren't complete, hide them. No point in listing them and having ppl think your site isn't complete.

- Definitely change the colour of the font on the request form. Extremely hard to read.

- I'm confused as to the difference between contacted you and the request form?

- You're missing keywords and site description in your meta tags

- Remove the spacing after the opening quotation marks
Code: [ Download ] [ Select ]
<a class =" one" href =" index.html">

- I'm sure you could set up your content better than by using millions of <br> tags

- Validate your site

- Make sure all your images have alt tags

Keep up the great work 8)

hey thanx flavah I really appreciate those comments...I completely changed the layout today let me know what you think.

I know I should hide the links and such, but Im not quite ready for search engine submission and Im still feeling out layouts. The main thing I need is the content, once Im satisfied that I have enough, I will let it out more on the net.

yeah, i have a bad habit of using <br/> tags

that font color was horrible, this one should be 100times better.

the current banner is just temp btw

oh wow talk about completely redoing the layout!!

// ok the fire alarm at work is going off, I'm going to ignore it lol

You're contact link is broken

Why bother putting empty images in the 2D banners page? Just list the ones you actually have.

You should mention that your 3d work is wmv format somewhere on the page so that users are aware before they download. It's just good practice.

Make outside links open in a new window, the last thing you want to encourage is users to leave your site.

Still missing alt tags in your images!

You need to close one of your <link> tags. Line 13.

Keep it up! :)

Ok all of those are fixed...not sure why the alt tags aren't working, they are definately there

I noticed, now that you said it, nothing is getting validated....mostly caps problems. I should be able to sort it all in the hour

Make sure you're adding the alt information to the right image tags though!

Code: [ Download ] [ Select ]
<div class="navlist">
                    <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="index.html"> News</a><br />
                    <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="links.html"> Links</a><br />
                    <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="about.html"> About Us</a><br />

                    <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="contact.php"> Contact</a><br />
  1. <div class="navlist">
  2.                     <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="index.html"> News</a><br />
  3.                     <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="links.html"> Links</a><br />
  4.                     <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="about.html"> About Us</a><br />
  5.                     <img src="/images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="11" height="13" border="0" /><a href="contact.php"> Contact</a><br />
