I like the color scheme and wood header, it makes for a soft feeling that is warm. It makes me want to explore the website. Good job!

Nice design but your graphics are a tad big (Kb). I'm on a nice BB connection and there was still a small but obvious delay in downloading all the images.

Suggest you try and get them all under 10k.

Good luck.

Cheers, Prime... :D

PS> Put your javascript in external file(s).

PPS> I'm viewing in FF 2.* and there some CSS issues with your right hand navigation menu. hard to explain, you need to take a peek.

the words are overlapping, specifically "archive" and others.

also, u have a javascript error. It would appear you're using a prototype syntax but haven't got prototype loaded...

Code: [ Select ]
$(document).ready(function(){

errrrrrm :roll:

CSS issue still active and now you have 2 javascript errors :( You should be able to see them yourself. If you can't see them install the firebug extension.

Excuse me but I didn't read all the comments before posting. Looks nice but a few things that kind of stand out to me, the site is very image heavy, which is cool, but the imagery at the top, ie. the phone, sharpie, etc, don't have any real depth. Again I love the layout, but I think the graphics need a little help. and it doesn't validate. But this is a great start!

"Thanks for visiting JakeBoyles.com, This site is built using CSS, XHTML, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Wordpress" - and this line of text does not render good in IE7. It looks like a footer line done in CSS which escaped some div . In IE 7 it floats at the right of screen and in resolution 1024x768 I get long horizontal scroll bar.

Otherwise I like it!

Looks really great, I was surprised.

It would be really cool if you knew flash, and could make the unlock button on the iPhone do something... like open up a sort of hidden menu.
