Hi,

I'm wondering if you could check out my personal website http://www.lieven.be. It contains some sourcecode and it's main target is to have a container where I can post stuff on I find useful. (coding tips, cool software).

Some technical info:
It's based on Cafélog's B2 blogging software. I've completely redesigned it, made it category based instead of timebased (make it less of a blog), added module support (So I could easily code add-ons) and I've made it search-engine friendly by writing a parser script to link to pages without having to pass variables.

It's my first real CSS site, combined with XHTML Transitional. (And I know the search function doesn't work yet)

Please be honest! (I won't get offended, no disclaimers needed :P )

**if viewers are easily offended they may want to avoid the norty bits under any links that say female. (very mild nudity)

Anyway, I've already told you that you're CSS is nicely done.

Design wise, I'd like to see your front page a little more balanced.

I'd write more, but the wife and tater tots are pulling into the driveway now.

In Opera some pages look strange. For example, when I link to http://www.lieven.be/index.php?cat=120&dir=Animals, all the pictures and tables seem to crawl over each other.
On the whole I like the design and easy navigation. Your collection of MSN icons is very nice :)

I think the colors and layout are great, very easy on the eye. My only concern is the images of yourself. In the opening paragraph you state that you are trying to share some useful computer related things about topics such as PHP, .NET, Oracle, MySQL and more.

The first image of the half of your face is fine, but the images of your feet and other poses seem to be just space fillers. IMO I would just carry the half face throughout the entire site.

More info on the hoempage would balance it out better.

Hi Lieven

Good to see a fellow countryman here :)

Have to say, I like it. It is clean but not cool, everything easy to read and a great start to a good resource site I believe.

The first page does have a strange layout because there isn't a lot of content in it so the bottom left is a bit 'thin'. But I'm sure more will be in there as soon as there is more news and all.

Great site

kind regards
Tisse

The site looks very crisp and clean. The only thing that bugs me is the header. It's kinda big. Other than that, the only thig that seems to be lacking is the content but I'm sure you'll get that up as time passes.
