http://oshy.greatboard.com/

This is a forum I made. I took some time getting the different categories set out.

I quite like the skin at the moment,.

I have also done a Photoshop tutorial (and i will be doing more) and submitted it to good-tutorials to get some visitors to the site (if they get accepted)

Please comment on the layout of the site and help me out with anything that needs changing.

Thanks-Oshy

Not sure if you actually made the layout or not but Il give you some constructive criticsm on it.

1. The corner effect is way too large. This type of eye candy is better when its smaller in size.
2. The metal bar ( the thing where your navigation buttons are) looks very out of place. Take out the gradient and play around with different colors to make the actual buttons blend in more.
3. Just my preference, but I think the site is abit too dark. Maybe add some contrasting blue or dark green effects to brighten it up.

Thats it for now. Good luck with your community!

It looks pretty good, but you should host the forum yourself so it won't have ads and also so that you can have a main index page with a news script or something for updates.

There are plenty of sites out there that offer php hosting for free, or for a reduced price. I use freepgs.com for some of my sites - one time fee. :D

Just look around. Or ask google. Usually it'll give you a couple of good hosting sites.

I like the site, but it looks a little to plain jane. I would as some bright colors and try to get away from the Microsoft theam. Other than that the site is really simple to nav and use (simple is good) and has good content!

Anybody know any hosts where there aren't any ads? That's what was bugging me the most.

And the plainness is just until i can create my own skin. Then i'll go for a better look.

I put a new skin on. I like this one. What does everyone else think. Thanks for all the feedback.

Im working on changing the logo at the top to my own one. I don't know what I want yet though. Any ideas?

What? I wanted to know if the different categories were suitable. That's what I asked.
