I would have to say I couldn't figure out what the site is about.

A line line text that explains what it is would be good.

"Minirank.com is a tool that checks sites basesd on blah blah, giving you rankings ordered by such".

Something simple that says exactly what it does.

Point taken, I've put a brief note on the front page explaining the project.
Thanks!

Hi, well it's a very very simple site so there isn't really much to mention design-wise. It does seem to work thought which i guess is the most important thing. Very quick loading time (as expected). The forum is attractive, a nice skin that you're using :)

Quote:
miniRank.com ranks websites by popularity in a given Top Level Domain (example: .com).

When ranking websites in a given TLD, only the websites belonging to that TLD are taken into account
(example: when ranking in .com, .org sites are ignored).

The position and score of a given website are generated from the number and quality of inbound links.

Your search results still make no sense. For example, I type in ozzu.com and the result is 49,000 something? Based on what? I don't get it and neither will your viewers. you are putting what is obviously a lot of hard work into a fruitless effort if the purpose of your site is complerely ununderstandable, which at the moment appers to be the case

Erm... didn't work for me. I tried typing in my website URL (http://www.sharepixel.com) and it kept saying "Website not found. Click here to add it". When I "did" click it to add it, it added it but still kept saying the same thing when I searched it.

i agree with a point above...you need to say what it is...your description of what it is is good and you could easily display that on the home page without affecting the display or performance of what you are trying to achieve.

decent tool though...good work.

I like where you're going with this, I'm guessing it's suppose to be a PageRank-like tool? If you want people to use miniRank though you need to give them a reason why they should spend time on it instead of checking their Google PR or Alexa rankings.

This is what I get for Google:
Place: 492 (4.135363 points)
Website: google.com
Country:
Shared with 1 sites

What is that suppose to mean? If I was the owner of Google, how would that information be useful to me?

How about adding more user-tools and statistics. Let people comment on sites, add related sites, add tags, descriptions, ratings, etc. Maybe try some cool stuff with GD like page screenshots, graphed stats, etc.

I like the simple design a lot :)
