Just need some feedback on changes I'm doing on a website....

Here is the old site >> http://www.dalcon.com.au

And here is the new one >> http://www.nurvcentre.net/dalcon

Comments and Suggestions welcome...

NOTE: The new site is still underconstruction, so not all links and stuff will be working.

I like the appearance of the second one a little better with the exception that the font for the copyright is very tiny at 1024x768.

Your main problem is your menu. The drop down menu script does not work in Netscape 7.1 or Mozilla Firebird. I suspect that it's not going to work in any Mozilla-based browser.

The javascript will need to be modified to compensate for them or else a lot of viewers will never be able to navigate your site.

Your browser check works perfectly, however, are you sure that's the solution you should be using? There are other DHTML menu scripts that ARE cross-browser compatable and are easily found by doing a search for DHTML menus or Drop-down menus.

I would recommend considering a script that will work in both IE and ,at least, current versions of Mozilla-based browsers. Plus it would be much easier to incorporate it now while you are developing it than to wait until later to decide you need to rework all of your pages. (Keep in mind that AOL is Mozilla-based -- and there are a ton of AOL users out there)

True... I will work on finding one of those.... but in the mean time, at least the browser check is there as a warning to users... for now at least... thanks again dude...

Here's a working example:

Just view source for the code and download the javascript files. It will work on most contemporary browsers (the exceptions are noted on the page). If you can't figure it out I'll see if I can find all the original script files and readme file for ya.

I'm not sure too many are using out-dated browsers now-a-days, but This will at least give you one that works in current Mozilla-based ones.

I found the source link:

It was very easy to modify and very customizable.
