Hi Everyone,

It has been a while since I added something to this section of the site. Usually I am offering feedback but now I am asking for it.

I have a new website that I would like the community's perspective on.

http://www.300site.com

Tell me what you think?

Let me know if you think things could be improved.

Does the site and the concept interest you?

Thanks,
Frank

Hi frank_tudor.

Nice and clean design. Only thing that comes to mind is the link color. If it was my site I would probably make it stand out from the headlines a bit more. And maybe you should consider an alt text on the banner containing the image text (nice seo text I think - you don't want to miss out on the extra points :) ).

Hi Frank

Its quite a nice clean looking site. It could possibly do with a little more colour.
I would remove the links underline from the navigation. Also i think the navigation is too wordy, i would take out your descriptive text about the navigation.

I.e. What is 300 site? ---->Find out more<--- i would ditch this bit on every nav. I think they are all self explanitory and also i find out what i need to when i click the link. also i would have expected this to be about us, packages, purchase nav headings. But i am stickler for one-two word navs (lazy maybe :) )

Possibly you could highlight the nav bar with a change of bgcolour on hover?
This could give you a little extra colour.

Its nice enough though :). Although it looks like you have just sawn off that guys legs in your banner/header!

Ok I removed link additional text, and have taken the sawed off guy and added a border to help the image a bit.

I will figure out how to make it more colorful.

It is a bit spacey now.

hmm... :)

Nice web site....I like how the packages are outlined in the center of the page.

Do you mind if I use your site as a model?

you need more graphic work indeed
but as first step change the arrows of the navigation link, try make more attractive logo

I think the package you offer is fair

i like it .. other than the broken images by the navigation.. and unless the broken images are affecting the navigation i would say that you could improve the Navigation a little.. maybee use buttons or somthing

i like your site!
it's clean and easy to navigate!
i guess you did it by yourself..?!
there are some disadvantages..:
1. your header! - good idea! but the small text below:
"300site sells custom website templates that are search engine optimized, cleanly designed and self building."
would be more appropriate there! - here is the goal of your web site! here is the point!
2. the words "elegantly designed"... i don't believe they are really elegant.,
comparing with the home page.... sorry.
the color scheme is not suitable here, play with color! make it lighter. don't go beyond 3 main colors.
3. 300site on the top. the font is too simple..... shadow ... it harmes the lightness of the site..
4. icons (navigation panel).. you nedd to change it..
5. the main part of your site - the "picture" with the 5 sections + 4 of them have vertical text/.. it annoys,
if i were you i would make it horizontaly! and again shadows.. they are unnecessary here.
the part of the site i'd make using CSS, otherwise you have to make some changes in your psd file..
i hope my critique will help you to improve your site.. coz idea i really good, and design is changable!

good luck!

and one more thing.. keywords in meta. there are too many words + commas!
avoid commas and countless numbers of keywords!
there must be no more than 6-8 keywords (the same words must be on the page)!

the plans on the main page are an image. the descriptive text needs to be that, text.

holding text within an image won't do you any favours

guys thanks for the great tips. I think I am really at the point where I am trying to balance presentation and function.

I will incorporate more of the changes you guys suggest especially the meta keywords.

I will also migrate to package deals to text, but I need to find some round edge css box that looks like images, or maybe I should crop the image and capture the round edges as images. Hmm.... I will have to consider this.

i think you need to make your logo stand out alot more like make it unique its just like you types it very boring and i think you have too much white i hate seeing all that white bothers me and the bullets are like gears i dont understand what that has to do with web hosting?

all and all its a great site just need

1 better looking logo more eye catching
2 not sooooo much white like even a light blue under nav menu

thats all i see that you should fix
