thanks alot on the compliments ANTO

I have sent you a PM

also...
I have reduced the file size on the splash page immensely
it was almost 400k in images lol...
i have dropped it down to 120k+...ish

it loads much quicker

I altered some of the images...i didn't realise they were that big in file size, and I had them set to 100 jpeg quality lol..
i altered the buttons to .gif's, where the text is too .gifs and reduced the images quality to 80 jpeg quality

if it is still too big...
say so
I will make the actual size smaller...and that should do it...
i am on cable and they came up very fast...
tell me how it loads for you?

120k is medium sized, won't load lighning fast on dialup but people won't get bored waiting
Does anyone have dialup to test it??

It really is amazing how much filesize you can lose without losing any quality. I read a really good tutorial on the net about compression methods and how to optimise your graphics. I love Fireworks cos you can play with all the settings and it shows you the quality, filesize, dl time etc. Really really handy.

ok
i have had a few idea's about my site
I have been thinking about sorting everything out, and making the site stretch accross the whole page...
that a good idea or not?

i dont want to spend a long time doing it and then finding out it was a bad idea and looks awful..

what do you think?
