Just curious to see what others think of the site I did for work. I am already aware of one page problem.

http://usmc2100.apg.army.mil

Also, let me know if the "mil only" sections will open for you. I need to see if the web server admin is doing his job on securing the folders.

Thanks

The image you used:

Softened without the hard edges:

Only complaint is this image, I softened it up a bit as much as I could. Would have been easier with the high res version but this still looks better. Your free to use this one on your site if you wish.

The mil only downloads work for me. I suppose that's a bad thing, since I'm not military anymore.

Not a bad page, one of the better .mil sites I've seen in a while.

Thanks for the image. I'm not good with image related stuff. I outsourced the main logo. I guess I need to have a talk with the web server admin. He doesn't listen very well but then again he is deaf (really).

Got a remake, don't know if you can use it. I tried color matching as best I could, but I'm a little color-blind. The seal in the center was hard to decypher, it doesn't look like the standard USMC seal, but that's what I used.

I consider it more an excerscise of my vector path skills

See? This is why I shouldn't read the forums while at work...

And the original image, scaled down:

I prefer that image actually, that is if you can use it. Nice find.

I do like that image. However, it isn't our logo. The center portion of the bomb is different from the typical Marine Corps Emblem. The image on the homepage is a shrunken version of a much larger image. I would post the origional image but it is huge.

Yeah, I saw that. Like I said, I just used what I could find. If you could get me a full-sized copy (PM a link or something) I'd update the graphic for you, if you wanted it. I was just giving an alternative.

I like the alternative but unfortunatley, I can't use it. PM me your e-mail and I'll e-mail it to you.

Awesome, I like that. I'm going out of town for two weeks so when I get back I'll have to get that updated on the site. Unfortunately I have no control over the web server and it is a lengthy process to get anything uploaded.

Anyone else have any opinions? Anything I could do better. I'm still learning in a lot of aspects. I know that I can use CSS to handle most of the site. I used tables mostly but would like to get away from doing that.

I think you could have used a couple more pics, but seeing as its not a huge website its not a bad start. keep it up
