Hey there, this is my personal portfolio. All coding by hand. All text. No images, except for photography, and right now all I have is my photography. It is SUPPOSED to be plain and simple. Sleek and beautiful. http://www.owenconti.com

Please let me know what I can change.

Interesting design. Why the overt simplicity if you don't mind me asking.

a couple reasons.

quick load times.
the main idea of the site will be my portfolio so i want audience to focus on portfolio rather than the site.
simple to code in just a day.
looks good yet its simple.

Gotcha. Do you think its too simple? That it doesn't really show any of your artistic ideas that you display in your photography? I just ask because I think the is a simple style (minimalism) and a simple code (lack of knowledge, lack of time, or lack of care). I think pentagram is probably one of the best masters of the minimalist but everything is very well thought out. Just something to think on.

Have to agree with most people here. A little too simple. I'm a hand coder as well, so I like basic and i like simple. But I also want people to link to me, be impressed by my skills and want to return to my site.

Honestly, if you want to save time, find a template you like. Not really anything to review.

The font you are using at the top also cuts off the bottom of the words. Was that intentional?

Another idea is to just take the photography page and make it the main page instead.

At least there is something of interest that is immediately visible to your visitors.

Great photos though. So you do really have something to offer. I just think you need to offer it in a different way.

Thank you namecritic for your reply. It really does help me.

But what do you mean by, "So you do really have something to offer. I just think you need to offer it in a different way." ?

I just want to let anyone know who is watching this topic that I have added splatters to the side margins, I'm thinking it adds a bit of fill to that side space. Thoughts?
