Hoping to get some ideas and feedback on my site...this is my first attempt at building a webiste.

The site is PostABar.Com it was created in the Fall of 2006.
It is a website service to make it easy to post and locate nightspots.

This website is still being developed and we look to improve our design.
With the help of Post-A-Bar users and their knowledge of local nightspots we hope to grow and become the leading resource for finding great places to enjoy a night out.

We want to keep our site simple, informative, and easy to navigate.
This site is updated primarily by it's users and maintained by Post-A-Bar administrators.

All comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

Are others having a problem viewing the site? Please let me know as it seems to be working fine on our end!

The cause of the error has been identified. A fix will be uploaded durring the next site maintenance update.

It would figure my first posting this would happen!

Some of you may be able to view the site others may not...there are some DNS issues.

maybe you can list the most voted bar on the front page,.. insteed of the adsense ads

The voting is currently for quality of bar...we will however (soon) be launching a vote for the country's best bar...we hope when we launch we can attract more bars and traffic to our site..

I can view your site and to me it's really empty ... I really don't have anything to add, I just really don't like it ...

To improve search engine ranking, you should change your title to make it longer.
And you should also add a <H1> Title.

You may find a way to provide links to all the page like this :

So a lot more pages will indexed in google from your database.

It's a good idea. But I couldn't find anything in Pennsylvania at all when I searched under 18+, and there have to be a lot of them! it needs more information added.

I like the idea. The only thing is I think you'd have some tough competition from other website that offer more complete packages (bars, hotels, etc..) I don't know how successful you'd be with only bar search. Moreover, I'm from Israel so this site is not that relevant for me.

I like the cleanliness of the sites home page. The logo is a bit to large. I would also reconsider the name POST-A-BAR maybe something more like BAR.COM
