I like the graphic at the top quite a bit! I typically don't find white-on-black sites easy to read, but yours wasn't bad... I think the orange colour really helps to balance out the site.

I like the icons for all the news articles too.

I don't really like the scrolling list of 'sponsors' on the right side (under 'affiliates')... I find it a bit distracting.

Nice site. I am also fan of Harry Potter. You can make better by:

Add icon in the address bar this make pretty website.

Don't make long column on index page instead give only topic name in the column. This make quite easy to look each topic seprately and reduce time for loading index page.

If it is a favicon, I have already done that. But the favicon is visible only in firefox

The site is fast, isnt it?

There are so many images - Do I have to provide alt tags for all? Should I?

Yes alt and title tags are very important for different search engines!
Cause the alt tag is the most important tag for Pics!

Use the alt attribute for text that should be displayed if for some reason an image isn't displayed (e.g. the user has images turned off). This text should describe the content of the image in a way that will help users who don't see the image understand what it is for. If the image is just an interface graphic that doesn't need text to describe its content (e.g. spacer.gif), leave the alt attribute empty like this: alt=""

Use the title attribute to give extra information about the image, such as its title. You can in fact use the title attribute in this way for any HTML element, not just images. Think of it as a kind of elemental metadata.

IE will display alt attributes as a tooltip even though it shouldn't, which has resulted in many people using alt when they should be using title.

Thanks for the info Yambot and to you too 613flavah for opening this forums ;-)

BTW, my header image is sliced into 14 smaller images, should I provide different keyword rich alt and title trags for it? So that the SE can index them? Is this Keyword spamming?

Just a question though - my index page is aorund 93KB, should I tone it down a bit? Does SE bots pay attention to page size?

The header is awesome. I don't like the structure of the site however. The while fonts, and orange really is distracting for me.

Where did u get the icons? They are really cool.

The background of the images that form the titles of the sections of the left bar (Home, Editorials, Forum, etc...) don't match the horizontal shading of the background of the column. It's not a big deal, and I can see it'll be a pain to fix but it annoys the heck out me.

(This is where titles come in useful, i could just have given the title of the image and it would have saved me writing a convoluted description that I'm still not sure makes any sense  )
