We have created a successful quiz site in Sweden and now we have translated the site to english under a new domain...

Greatful for comments - good and bad - about language, design and most of all function.

I think you need to work on the banner. It is looking a little too simple.
Also the length of banner and the footer is more than the middle content.
In 800*600 resolution, the user has to scroll in horizontal direction to use the search subject.

Thanks for good remarks.

We are working on an new banner (it is not good today).

The reason that the middle part is smaller is that in the original swedish version we have textbox-adds on the right side of the middle part. (and eventually we will have it on this side too)

Any comments on the functionality?

I think you have a great idea, and it could go down well, you just need more content, having a look at the site, makes you think, what is it.

Also have a link to the left of the page for home, and add some links at the bottom of the page, small, this is for google.

Thanks for the comments.

Anybody knows how common 800*600 is today? Should you really optimize a page for that size today. Anybody know ant statistics for this ??

Ooops over 20% still uses 800*600 !? Is that true !? Maybe we should reconsider...

Ofcourse there are a lot of quiz-pages out there... But I have not seen any with our kind of duel and league system with "quiz-matches".
Anybody seen something similar to what we are trying to create?

My main problem is that the site looks dated. It looks to be at least 3-5 years old....which could put a user off in a jiffy.

Suggestion: Clean up those table borders and make them thinner...and/or use graphic headers and footers for your menu and overall site.

PS: You might want to either delete favicon.ico or replace it with one of your own....it is currently set to the apache icon.

I think it is a great idea for a site (bit different from most). The colours are great again not the usual standard blues and greens.

It took me a good 30sec to figure out what the site was all about, this maybe a long time in net standards and people might move on before having a good look. A little blurb on the home page may be helpful.

I'll be interested to see how it turns out with a few months of work in it.

Thanks for helpful comments.

Stupid(?) question: What is the meaning of "blurb" ?!? ("A little blurb on the home page may be helpful")

From the context I guess it means some kind of initial info ?!?
