Post 3+ Months Ago

For the past few days geekette and I have been working on a forum to help ease or boredom before she has to go back to school. So we had some fun making it and I was just looking for some reviews on the color scheming/graphics. I hope to be doing a bit more with it to push it towards being a semi active forum (gotta use that 650 megs of space somehow :-P).

Thanks in advanced,
Brandon

Well the color... I like the grey, thats always a nice color to use for a website, but the red. Ahh the good ol' red, Personally, i do not think red and grey go together. Perhaps a lightish blue , #25528D text and the same color background would look good. I dont know, it's just me, i dont like red on grey.

Now for the graphics or header. I like it, it's just the colors again, maybe a lightish blue #25528D. Other wise the header flows with the rest of the forum.

also why you making this forum again? I must have missed why.

1. read my first post for WHY
2. Have you ever looked around lately, How many websites are using the blue on grey, or white, or black color scheme. I'll give you a hint, your, ozzu, and about a million other websites. No offense to ozzu but its quickly becoming a web design cliche.

Thanks for the suggestions anyways.

Overall, the colors are ok, nothing to shout about tho... The color combo's need to be appealing to all viewers, that's why so many use similar colors in their forums.

So why add to the madness then? If the site doesn't have unique content, it's just a close representation of all "other" forums.

So it must purely be for a learning experience then, right?

Yea that and a boredom buster, we were just fiddling around, we didn't design it to be something big like ozzu. Plus now she's back in school so now I am the only bored one, and I have a work at home job for that :-P
