Hi, me and my buds have made this website HD Animated Screensavers

An xhtml version will be online this week too (before the hardcore Flash haters jump in :)).

Take a look and see what you think.
Thanks, Jay

Well done. I can see you guys put a lot of time into that site. There is only one thing that someone like myself could use. In Firefox, if I hit Crtl + it doesn't make the text bigger. I don't know if the text can be changed in IE or not.

i, on the other hand , thinks that it's a little too red

It contains lotsof Flash , which i feel abit floated. I dunnno maybe it depends to type of ppl ,different tastes.

Overall, it's unique and its features, usability is cool./ convenient

The Good:

1. Loads fairly quickly in IE and FF
2. Intuitive, clean design - love the drop downs
3. Informative product pages - see it, buy it, minimal clicks
4. Varied product options on the home page - nice to see free stuff prominently featured
5. Checkout process is fairly tight - steps shown, sensible progression
6. Good error trapping in registration process
7. Prominent Paypal option

The Not So Good
1. I'm not a big fan of the red.
2. Font does not resize - I'm not wearing my glasses. Having a hard time reading it
3. My personal preference is to be able to purchase w/o registering
4. Not really digging the move to an external site for paying with Paypal
5. Really, really not digging the move to an external site for payment. - can you make it transparent?

Conclusion

Well Done. I did not care for the wait for the flash pages to load, but you're working on that so all is good. Otherwise, very good job. You put a lot of effort into the site and it shows.

Your site is pretty cool, I like the flash. I checked your backlinks, and I consider them fair. 45 total backlinks is a good start, but you need more if you want a steady flow of targeted traffic.

Thanks for the comments, we really do appreciate it and will try to change things where we see fit.

The colour, it's always gonna be issue.... every time I do a white site, some people will dislike... a dark site, the same... so I try to avoid worrying to much about that.

The small usablity issues will be address with the xhtml launch, but maybe we can add it to the flash site too (re: text resizing etc)

eautocad - do you have any advice on getting more link backs?

I got the dreaded scroll bars  well, it's not a good thing. By scroll bars I meant HORIZONTAL scroll bars. The ones that scroll from side to side. Not good. And my screen resolution is set at 1280x1024 pixels. You might want to fix that.

I really like what you've accomplished here, congrats !
The only thing that I would change is the logo. Make it stand out more, it looks to flat / "boring" compared to the rest of your site.

I'm really not sure how that is happening. We have tested on many platforms/browsers and there is no way you should be getting scrollbars on that resolution. Do you have you browser fully open?

Yes, my browser is fully open  and it's showing the HORIZONTAL scrolls... VERTICAL too but it's not a problem...

Very good design... I love to see flash used like that... At the same time, flash hinders some things users could normally do, such as copy/paste. (though this doesn't really affect your site, just saying flash has downfalls.)...

Overall, good website
