Just released this new website http://www.jiansnet.com.

My website is targeting small to medium websites that need a site search, but, without incurring high cost.

I hope you could provide the following feedback.

1) Does the site provide enough information to its audience?

2) What features you would like to see to be added to the website?

Thanks,

Jian

your site contains W3C validation errors ... please check and fix them here ...

I don't like it that the site contains no images whatsoever ... I realize that this makes it load quicker, but it also makes it look unprofessional ... even google has images ...

I think it would be great if you made the link of the page that a user is on unclickable, for example, if a user is on the "home" page, make the "home" link unclickable, this way users won't redirect to the page hat they're already on ...

Also the a:visited is the same colour as the page that a user is on ... which gets confusing after a few pages ...

On the contact page, you could make sure that the email address is valid by checking whether there is an at(@) and a dot(.) in the address ...

I'd add some images to your web site.

Thanks for the nice comment and feedback! That's very helpful.

I will try to fix the html errors, as well as consider adding some images.

You have a simple site but you need some changes on your designs , layout
and the total looks of the site.

You are right. I still need to improve the site layout. Right now, I am kind of focused on the content more than the layout. But, will get there. Thanks for the input.

As a fellow "Content First" designer, I completely understand your website look right now! However, I also now understand how important a few images are to the appeal of a website.

It sound a bit silly to say, "adding and image or two to your site would make it better"...but it's true.

I am also focussed on adding content, and then I'll go back and make a bunch of little adjustments to alignment, color and so forth. So this next "Opinion" is for when your at that stage.

I think that professional web pages look more professional when they've been aligned to JUSTIFY. Just an idea.

While your site looks plane, it's also very functional. I had no problem navigating it. I like it!
