Im making website for new client - its here: http://www.wartaprojekt.prv.pl
(or http://80.55.47.130/warta/ ).
(its test site only - now, im making corrections there)

100% in Polish :D sorry folks...

Client: big assurance (BEEP! mistake! thx dM!) INSURANCE company (in my country), ws about their building only.

I know, that nobody ll read anything there, but please, estimate the flash content...
Me and my co-workers used: Photoshop 7, Illustrator 9, MySoundStudio, KWrite and Editplus, Flash 5...

Second (hard) question: how much it could cost in USA? (please answer, i want to compare prices of websites central europe vs rest of the world).

Sorry for my terrible english!

One minor note, first. I think you meant to say INSURANCE company. I realize English isn't your first language. :P

Now on with the review.

Very nice. The transitions and tone of the piece is very calm and soothing. I particularly like the way you've presented tabular data.

You seem quite comfortable with Flash.

One great big negative for me, though, is browser hijacking. I don't mind a little resize, but I don't care for being forced into fullscreen mode. It's just annoying to have to reach up and hit F-11.

I quite understand why folks do this, but still I wish they wouldn't.

On the whole, I say good work. Keep it up!

Thx for first feedback.

1. Onload fullscreen - it was clients idea - and ive changed it... but it works fine for me (swf is big - and fullscreen works good on all resolutions - i mean u see all ws).
2. Client has more things to correct... and website isnt "attractively" cause of that  (he changed bg color in popups, changed popups and more...)
3. JS resizers - i like them, they r very simple to use (i and my partner - PHP programmer, we are using pre-written classes to do ws faster).
4. Thx for correcting me with "INSURANCE" (nor assurance) company :D

My english s**** :P meaby i should paint with mouth closed

Some additional infos:
- GFX (design) made by pablo - my friend and co-worker
- Code (PHP, MySQL) made by lupatus - my friend and co-worker
- I was making Flash (swf) and some design (not gfx, only "composing").

Work time: about 1 day design, 3 day flashin'it and 3 day coding it and making corrections...

And what about price? Could anybody help me with exterior pricing?

Pricing is always going to be specific to your situation and your needs.

First you need to determine how much money you, your partner, and therefore your company need to collect on an annual basis. I would define 'need' as enough money to pay yourselves a livable wage and 5% to 15% profit for the company. Once you've determined that, you should break that number down to a per hour number. Use this number to determine your rate matrix.

My rate table has graphic design(especially for print), consulting, HTML and simple Flash on the low end. Javascripting, mid-level Flash, moderately complex HTML/CSS all go into the middle ranges. For the high end, server-side processes, high end Flash, 3D animation, large-highly complex interface analysis and creation for big system deployments, etc.

My entire table shifts for private sector vs. public sector. Public sector work is slightly less mainly to secure contracts, but also because those contracts tend to be for longer durations, and can have scopes and hours added/modified liberally after the being secured.

Having said all of that, I would put this site, generally, into lower mid range work.

HTH!

as soon as I saw google toolbar block the popup, I knew something
was up. I clicked to open the window again manually and it
went to fullscreen...I HATE FULL SCREEN. So, I closed it, sorry.

Judging by dM's comments it might be worth going, but I'll take
a raincheck for now.

Nice job ASIDE FROM HIJACKING MY MONITOR! :D

I went from happy to shocked to royally ticked. I like the site but I won't ever go there again simply because of the hijacking. But great work on the design and feel.

Thx for feedback.

Mayby i should talk with client about this...
If user had a chance to click on button to open fullscreen window, with a warning ("This site opens in fullscreen browser.") - it would be good?

BTW. It should open in fullscreen, because its very big. In XP bars take away so many px... ;)

Flash is 700x650px... its vey big...

And what about Flash inside? What else can i correct?

Sorry for my terrible english!

Your English is great. Much better spelling than many other Americans and native English speakers I've seen on several different forums. :)

for those dimensions, you won't have any problem with simply opening
a normal window instead. If your client REALLY wants the full screen
option, simple do that...make it an OPTION. As in, normal window OR full
screen, and let the visitor decide.

If I had seen the button before it popped and it only gave me a choice of
full screen, I never would have even found that much out.

This is just a preference of mine, and it's a strong negative IMO. Talking
with your client about providing options is my best advice on your Site
Review so far. Set up a normal page and link us up, I'll gladly check it
out. As I said, it sounds like it's quite a nice site, and I would hate to
not see it.

Rainman, just had a chance to look at the site, very cool design! I just started playing around with some Flash stuff, nothing coming close to what you have here though. Can't wait to see some more work from you here, this one really looks nice! :thumbs-up:

ACK!!!

You need to have a REAL obvious "Turn off Sound" button... My speakers are kinda loud, and it's 3am, and after spending 5 seconds or so looking for a "mute" button, I just closed out the site - otherwise, my sleeping girlfriend behind me woulda been pissed, heh.

No need to apologise about your English, your site is designed for a Polish audience. But I might suggest putting a little speaker icon next to where it says "wylacz muzyke" just so it's obvious for the non-Polish people, hehe. Something similar to the speaker icon in the Windows system tray.

But I like it. I like the vertical blinds effect on the images in the middle, that really looks nice.
